Throughout my more than 15 years of private practice as a Clinical Social Worker in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, I have positively affected the lives of many individuals. As a result, many clients have returned years later to tell me how much their lives have changed for the better. As someone you can talk to, I can help you feel comfortable saying what you need to say. I will listen and offer pragmatic feedback. I will work hard to find realistic day-to-day solutions that will make a difference in your life.

I can incorporate spiritual component to my practice, if you would like. It is said that we are all whole people, our mind, body, emotions and spirit. For some people to feel satisfied, they need to address all four components.

As a result of my addictions training, I am able to offer assistance in alcohol, drug, sex, gambling and other addictions. I also encourage 12 step support as an adjunct to our work together. Therapy is sometimes called the 13th step.

Many of my referrals over the years have been word of mouth. I often get referrals from my patients, who recommend me to others; a friend, a mother, a son, a girlfriend, etc. I always feel honored by their trust in me to help heal a loved one.

As a trained mediator, and since relationships are tough, I can help mediate viable contracts between a teen and his parents, a couple and their elderly parents who live with them, and many other combinations of people who need help getting along peacefully and lovingly.
